Making submissions to RAC INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS AND VIDEO EDITORS. How to make a a submission to the Journal of Regional-Anesthesia.Com (J-RAC) A wide variety of materials can be submitted for consideration for publication; Opinion Editorials. Make an intellectual point.  GUIDELINES. Commentary Editorials. Make comments on a J-RAC publication piece. GUIDELINES. Letters to the editor. GUIDELINES. Reviews.  GUIDELINES. Case Reports.  GUIDELINES. Studies.  GUIDELINES. Teaching Videos.   GUIDELINES Adverse Event Reports (AER).  GUIDELINES. Book Chapters. GUIDELINES. Books. GUIDELINES. Abbreviated guideliness for making RAC submissions. (revision 2019-5-2) WELCOME. Thankyou for considering making a submission to RAC. We especially seek case reports and adverse event reports  (AERs) from ordinary anesthesia-practitioners who are not following a traditional academic-career. We seek reports of your valuable clinical experience.  The value item is the AER. If you ever had an anesthetic experience that was unusual, catastrophic, hard to explain, hard to understand, or interesting in anyway, then write about it to us. We will help you draft it too. If you have a very good ultrasound-video clip of some strange, curious, or educational ultrasound-guided nerve-block moment, please submit it to RAC. If you have no video-editing experience, we can do that for you. Do you have views of nerves expanding upon injection of the local anesthetic drug? Do you have views of pulsing arteries in the middle of nerve plexus?  Was the anatomy very unusual? Then, send us the video clip with as much clinical information around the video as is possible to send. We also want to know the long-term outcomes of the patient. If accepted, we can fully edit the video for you. We may trim it, slow it, and enhance the quality. We can add text and include anatomy images. We will add dialogue too, if needed. You can of course fully produce the educational video yourself too. We do not want videos exceeding ten minutes long. Three minutes is a good teaching video length, if it involves demonstrating one technique. A clip can be as short as 5 seconds. We also envisage building up a RAC library of ultrasound clips, that other teachers could include in their educational PowerPoint presentations. The clip that we post will include a RAC logo, and your name too if you so wish. The author submission-instruction-sheet is intimidatingly long, but the process is simple. Contact the editor for easy advice.  FULL INSTRUCTIONS ON MAKING A R.A.C. SUBMISSION.
